A new direction for a better life.
Compass House was founded in 1972 as a homeless shelter. Today along with the Emergency Shelter, we operate a Resource Center, a Rapid Re-Housing Program and a Transitional Housing Program that is set to open Winter 2020. Our mission is to provide runaway, homeless and street youth with safe shelter and services, through a voluntary and mutually agreed-upon process, in an environment that supports dignity, respect and self-reliance. We serve approximately 300 youth at our shelter annually and an additional 300 youth at our Resource Center.
Are you homeless?
Living in an unsafe home?
Do you have a safe place to sleep tonight?
If you or a friend are a young person on the streets or are in danger in any way, Compass House can provide immediate assistance.
In your community
Homeless youth look no different than a normal teenager. Not being able to see the problem makes it important to know the statistics of youth experiencing homelessness in your community.
For nearly five decades, Compass House stands as one of the nation's oldest shelter and service providers for youth, offering shelter, counseling, and so much more. From a warm bed and hot meals to caring words, Compass House is here when you need us, 24-hours a day, and 365 days a year.
