This year, Compass House is proud to celebrate 20 years of the Safe Place Program in Buffalo! For two decades, Safe Place has provided youth in crisis with immediate access to safety, support, and vital resources. Through a network of community partners, Safe Place locations serve as a haven for young people who need help, ensuring they have a trusted space to turn to when faced with difficult situations.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible organizations that make this program possible. Special thanks to Tops Markets, GLYS Buffalo, NFTA and all of their 331 buses, the Tonawanda Fire Department, Lackawanna Fire Department, Delaware Family YMCA, Ken-Ton Family YMCA, William-Emslie Family YMCA, Clarence Youth Bureau, Hispanics United of Buffalo, Lancaster Youth Bureau, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Buffalo for their unwavering commitment to providing safety and support to youth in our community. Their participation in the Safe Place Program means that young people always have somewhere to go when they need help, whether it’s a fire station, a bus, a youth bureau, or a community center.

Over the past 20 years, Safe Place has been a lifeline for countless young people, offering immediate access to shelter, counseling, and other critical services. As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to expanding our reach and ensuring that every young person in need has a safe place to turn.

Thank you to all of our Safe Place partners for 20 years of dedication and for continuing to be a beacon of hope for Buffalo’s youth!
