M&T Bank and its Recruiting Division recently came together to give back to their local community by participating in an Earth Day Spring Clean-Up event at our Emergency Shelter. Led by Kristina Ryan, the group of 29 employees visited our shelter to help improve the space for the children who rely on it.
The volunteers worked hard all day, doing everything from laying down fresh mulch to scraping the patio in preparation for a new coat of paint. Despite the hot weather, they remained dedicated to the task at hand, and by the end of the day, the shelter looked unrecognizable. The hard work put in by the volunteers was a much-needed refresh for the shelter after a tough winter season in Buffalo.
The results of the day's efforts were not only visually pleasing, but they also made the space safer for the children who live at the shelter. The children now have a clean, inviting space where they can play outside safely. The volunteers did an amazing job, and their hard work will have a positive impact on the lives of the children who rely on the shelter.
The staff at the Emergency Shelter expressed their gratitude to M&T Bank and Kristina Ryan for their hard work and dedication to making a positive difference in the local community. They also extended their thanks to all the volunteers who gave up their time and worked tirelessly on a hot day to make the project a success. The Emergency Shelter looks forward to having the M&T Bank team back at any time to help with future projects.
It is inspiring to see organizations like M&T Bank and its employees taking an active role in improving their local community. The Earth Day Spring Clean-Up event is a reminder that every individual and every organization has the power to make a positive impact, no matter how big or small the contribution.
