At Compass House, we are continually inspired by the generosity and kindness of our community. Recently, we had the privilege of welcoming a group of about 30 dedicated interns from Rich Products who rolled up their sleeves and spent the day transforming the outdoor spaces at our Emergency Shelter for their annual Community Immersion Day.

Armed with paintbrushes, gardening tools, and plenty of enthusiasm, the team tackled several projects that gave our shelter’s backyard a much-needed refresh. Volunteers painted the deck, bringing new life and color to a space where youth can relax, connect, and enjoy the outdoors. They also worked tirelessly to clean up and beautify the backyard, creating a more welcoming and comfortable environment for the young people we serve.

What may have seemed like a simple day of service made a lasting impact. A safe, inviting outdoor space provides our residents with opportunities to unwind, spend time with peers, and enjoy a sense of home during a difficult time in their lives. Thanks to the hard work of these volunteers, our backyard is now brighter, more functional, and ready to be enjoyed throughout the season.
Beyond the physical improvements, the interns brought incredible energy, compassion, and teamwork to the project. Their willingness to give back demonstrates the power of community involvement and reminds our youth that there are people who care deeply about their well-being and future.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all 30 interns for donating their time, effort, and talents to Compass House. Your hard work has made a meaningful difference, and we are so thankful for your support. Together, we are creating spaces where young people can feel safe, supported, and valued.
Thank you for helping us make Compass House feel even more like home! ❤️
