Compass House Annual Fundraising Dinner: A Night of Celebration, Support, and Giving Back

Writer: Adam NoonanAdam Noonan

The Compass House Annual Fundraising Dinner is almost here! This heartfelt event brings together our community in support of runaway and homeless youth across the area. Hosted on November 8th at 6:00 pm at the beautiful Rich’s Atrium, this evening promises to be a night of gratitude, joy, and meaningful impact.

Our sponsors—M&T Bank, Hodgson Russ, NCAComp, Delaware North, West Herr, Rich Products, Cannon Design, Trinity Church, Peyton Barlow, Globalquest Staffing Solutions, and Uniland Development Company—have generously helped make this event possible, allowing us to continue our mission of supporting vulnerable youth with essential services, resources, and compassionate care.

As part of the celebration, we are honored to recognize some outstanding organizations and individuals who have made invaluable contributions to our community. This year's award winners include:

  • Broadview Federal Credit Union: Corporate Champion Award

  • Ingram Micro: Community Partnership Award

  • Buffalo AIDS Plus Fund - WNY INC (Buffalo Gay Bingo): Martha Martin Youth Advocacy Award

  • The Zach Liberatore Foundation: Friendship & Philanthropy Award

  • Shawntel Cunningham: Excellence in Service Staff Award

We’re especially excited to announce that Jillian Hanesworth, Buffalo’s first poet laureate and a dedicated member of the Compass House board, will be our master of ceremonies for the second year in a row. Her talent and passion add an inspiring dimension to our event.

Attendees can look forward to a delicious dinner, refreshing drinks, and an incredible raffle featuring a variety of prizes. Though ticket sales are now closed, there are still ways to support Compass House! We are seeking additional volunteers, and basket donations are always welcomed and appreciated.

Join us in spirit as we celebrate our shared commitment to empowering young people and strengthening our community. All funds raised from this event directly benefit runaway and homeless youth, ensuring they have a safe space, access to resources, and a path toward a brighter future. Together, we can continue to make a difference—thank you for your support!
