Experience the Cold, Make a Difference: Join CNOY 2025 for Compass House

The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is back! On February 22, 2025, we invite you to bundle up and brave the cold with us for a winterrific family-friendly walk through Buffalo, NY. This annual event is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a chance to make a difference in the lives of runaway and homeless youth served by Compass House.

Why We Walk

Imagine stepping outside on a frigid winter evening without a warm place to call home. For one night, CNOY participants experience a small glimpse of what some of our clients face every night. The walk reminds us how vital Compass House’s work is in providing shelter, support, and hope to young people in crisis.

By teaming up, fundraising, and walking together, we take a moment to look closer at the realities of homelessness in our community—and show our support for the youth who rely on us.

A Look Back at 2024

Last year, the Buffalo community came together in an incredible way, helping Compass House surpass our fundraising goal. Because of your generosity and commitment, we raised essential funds that provided shelter, meals, counseling, and other resources to those who needed it most. Together, we proved that even the coldest nights can’t freeze the warmth of our compassion.

This year, we’re setting our sights high once again—and we know we can achieve our goal with your help. Whether you walk as part of a team, with your family, or as an individual, every step and every dollar raised makes a difference.

How You Can Get Involved

  1. Register: Sign up as an individual or create a team. Invite friends, family, and coworkers to join you!

  2. Fundraise: Share your fundraising page and spread the word. Small donations add up to big change.

  3. Walk: Join us on February 22, 2025, for an unforgettable evening. The walk is fun, meaningful, and an opportunity to connect with others who care about making a difference.

  4. Volunteer: Help us make the event a success by volunteering your time. From event setup to cheering on walkers, there are plenty of ways to get involved behind the scenes. To volunteer, contact Adam Noonan at anoonan@compasshouse.org

  5. Sponsor: Businesses and organizations can support CNOY by becoming a sponsor. Sponsorships help cover event costs and ensure more funds go directly to serving youth in need. To sponsor the event, contact Alexis SeGuin at aaddison@compasshouse.org

It’s Cold Out There… But You Can Help

CNOY isn’t just about walking—it’s about warming hearts and changing lives. Every step you take helps Compass House continue to provide life-changing services to youth experiencing homelessness. Together, we can create a brighter future for the young people of Buffalo.

Don’t wait—register today and start making an impact. Let’s show our community that even on the coldest nights, we can bring the warmth of hope and kindness. See you on February 22!
